PowerPartners has made it very easy for you to enroll for service.  The entire process

can be handled by mail, fax and telephone.  This enables us to keep our overhead

low so PowerPartners does not have to charge a fee to you our customer.  This is one

thing that makes PowerPartners different from other power brokers that legally charge a

fee to their customers.

PowerPartners NEVER CHARGES OUR CUSTOMERS A FEE

and we do all the work for you.

The following map shows the states that have been deregulated.  If your business is in one of the states we will accept customers in and you wish to take charge of your electricity overhead, call us and let us obtain a quote for you.  You will be pleased with the annual savings you will receive.  PowerPartners does not solicit or accept commercial accounts in all states because of the way some of the legislation reads.  See a list of states below that PowerPartners will accept new customers in and help them switch providers.  The only way we will switch customers in the other states is when a Corporate office located in a state we do business in, and has outlets in states we do not accept business from and they request us to switch their stores in those states we do not work in, we will do so as a convenience for that company.

To make the following steps go as smoothly as possible, we will fax you copies of an agreement from one of the providers in advance for you to review or have your Board of Directors or your attorney review if necessary.  All of the agreements will contain the same information because each providers agreement has already been approved by that particular states regulators.  Once the agreement has been approved by your company, we will fax you the agreement usually between 9:00 am and noon filled in with the agreed rate per kWh.  You will need to sign the documents and fax them back to us by 3:00 pm on the same day they you received them so we can get them into the electric provider on the day they gave us a firm quote for your business.  Should the papers reach them after their cut off deadline, we will need to do the same procedure over again the next day.  All electric providers require that the signed documents reach their office no later than 3:30 on the day they gave the quote because they have to bid on electric rates from the state on a daily basis and they must have the time to verify the papers are correct before they will accept the new customer.  Each electric company requires a third party phone verification before they will put a new account on their books.  That is to verify that no customers was switched without their authorization.

Step # 1

First, merely fax a copy of your last electric bill (some providers require copies of the last 2 bills) to the fax number shown above.  This verifies the ESI number which is unique to each meter as well as the amount of kWh's used the previous month.  This give the power company the information they need to give the business a valid quote.

Step #2

PowerPartners  will fax you a form called an "LOA" or a "Letter of Authorization for the request of Historical Usage Information."  That allows us to pull the historical data for the last 12 months usage from your local power grid.  We want to show each of the possible providers exactly how much power they think you will use over the next 12 to 36 months.  This allows them to give you the lowest price possible based on your past usage of electricity.

This LOA states that it does not give PowerPartners  nor anyone else the authority to switch your electricity.  It is merely a form that allows the electric company to make a projection on how much power they can expect you to use over the period of the contract based on your past usage.

PowerPartners  will group your business with several other businesses.  We then contact all the utility companies offering pricing in your area.  As soon as we receive a quote from them - usually in the same day - we will contact you with that information.

Step #3

Once PowerPartners  receives the lowest bid possible for the amount of electricity you have used in the past, we will contact you with the quote.  If you are satisfied with the amount you will be saving, PowerPartners  will fax you the contract for your review and signature.  You can fax a copy back to us leaving you will a hard copy for your files.

Quotes or bids are given out daily by the electric companies based on the prices of electricity that day.  The electric company must lock in your price that day so they must have your signed agreement back in their office on the date that you signed the agreement.  If it gets to us to late to make the deadline, we must fax a new set the next day with that days current quote.

For that reason, PowerPartners is prepared to send a potential customer copies of a few of the electric companies agreements so you can review them.  As soon as we know which one gave you the loses quote, we will then fax you a completed set for your signature so you can fax them back to us by 3:00 PM on the date indicated on the papers.   Your price will then be guaranteed no to increase for the term of the agreement regardless of what happens.

You will never receive two bills for electric service for the same month.

Once you choose a new electric provider, you could still receive one or two more bills from your current provider until the switch is completed by the grid.  Once the switch has been made, you will no longer receive a bill from your previous provider.  You will never receive a bill from your previous provider and your new provider in the same month for the same time period.  The grid has made sure that cannot happen.

Your signature and a verbal verification is required before you will be switched to a new provider.

To protect the consumer, the state requires your signature on the contract agreement with the provider that you have chosen along with the price per kWh the electric company has guaranteed you.  These forms requires the customer to provide several more pieces of information.

Most electric companies also require a verbal verification by the person who signed the contract.  They will have an independent agency call that person to verify they requested to switch their electric provider.

We have provided links above to 4 of the most competitive providers.

If one of the 4 providers listed above gives you the best quote, you can review their paperwork online to save you time.  At the present time, these four electric providers are the most aggressive in enrolling new commercial accounts through our bundling method.  We must fill out the paperwork with the kWh quote inserted and fax the papers to you on the date we receive the quote.  That is normally around 11 am.

We are required by each provider to have the signed papers faxed to their office by 4pm of the same day.  By reviewing the documents on line, it will help save time when you receive our faxed copies.  The agreements from each provider may look different, however the content is the same as each of the other providers doing business in that state.  The only difference is the amount of the early termination fee.  Some providers charge a lower termination fee than the state allows.
